CHEATS

    Screenshots are not absolute proof because cheats and cheaters exist. To save you the trouble of sorting through the many cheat pages, here they are. If you know of any additional cheats, please say. Be honest.

1 . All versions:
     Hold a left-click on the face. This pauses the timer until you solve the next situation, then      you can slide off the face and resume.
2 . All versions:
     Type xyzzy, press 'Shift' and 'Enter'. A white dot appears at the top left corner. When      you are over a mine the dot disappears. If you can not see the pixel, use a darker      background. (Intentionally programmed by Robert Donner).
3.  All versions:
     If you minimise the game, the timer stops until maximised.
4 . Win3.1 & Win95:
     Hold both mouse buttons so the face opens its mouth. While doing so, press and release      Esc, then release the buttons. To restart the timer, minimise then restore the window, or      start a new game.
5 . Win3.1, Win95, Win98, WinMe:
     In notepad, open winmine.ini and change names and scores. Interesting note: entering      'sound = x' ('x' is a number of your choice) will create an explosion when you hit a mine,      and will play an one octave scale when you win. This will irritate you very quickly.
6 . WinXP, Win2000:
     Enter Windows registry (Start Menu, Run, 'regedit') and navigate to      HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Winmine. Open any of the files and      change your information.
