Camtasia Help

Camtasia was the first program used for Minesweeper videos. However, no program
is perfect and Camtasia is not an exception. First, video file sizes were often huge,
many people found their videos jerked, and it was noticed the Minesweeper timer
slowed while the program was run on several computers.

Most of these issues can be resolved with a few simple tricks:

1. Only record the Minesweeper window.
2. Lower your screen resolution. Camtasia works best in 256 colours.
3. Turn off audio, or use compressed audio.
4. Use between 10 and 15 frames per second.
5. Use a computer with at least 1GHz.
6. Do not use zoom or fancy recording options.
7. Use the TSCC codec.

If none of these work, buy a new computer and use an alternate recorder such as
those listed in my Video section. Luck!
